Name That turbo!
A buddy of mine just got this turbo for $450 brand spankin new. His car is as stock as they come but I then stated that "hey if this is an upgrade for me then we could just swap setups..." he said that would be fine.
He didnt know what turbo it was but was gonna find out today and message me what it was. But in the meantime i thought it would be fun to ask you all what turbo you think it is.
Also Secondary Question: Where can i find a exhaust manifold and o2 Housing for this beast.
Here are the specs that i could see from it:
4" Inlet
3" Outlet
Divided T4 Exhaust with the VBand Flange on the outlet of the Exhaust
Its pretty Massive. It has a vband on the compressor cover.
Its only oil cooled. (so likely not a BB turbo)
Here are the pics.

Re: Name That turbo!
Looks like a B/W to me, what's the A/R on that turbine housing? It looks massive!

Re: Name That turbo!
The fact that you can't see the smaller compressor blades underneath also makes me think maybe BW. Maybe something in the S400 range? All the S300's I've seen only have 7/14 compressor blades. Maybe go search some diesel forums.

Ill find out the exact model number and brand after lunch. (i forgot my phone at home today).
The guy that actually bought the turbo from the guy says that he remembers the guy saying something about it being a GT series, but dont quote me on that.

Re: Name That turbo!
Hes saying that it is a GT35R.... Which doesnt make sence because there are no coolent lines.... and it looks a little big to be a 35r.

Re: Name That turbo!
That has to be a knockoff. Look at how plain the compressor housing is.
Here is a BWS300:
Here is a BW S400:

Re: Name That turbo!
I didnt buy anything. I still have my SCM6152e Setup. If it was an upgrade i would just swap the setup out for this one. but it doesnt seem so. and i am not someone to trust anything from ebay or china when there are moving parts involved.
