Typical 1g charging voltage?

I'm just curious what the typical charging voltage for a 1g is?

My car was charging between 14.2v and 14.4 volts before the alt bracket broke. Now it's charging at 13.2v at idle. Tomorrow I'll see what it does when I drive it.

My old talon would only charge between 13.2 and 13.5 volts so idk.

Re: Typical 1g charging voltage?

I just checked a few of my logs. Looks like my 1g oscillates between 13.5 and 14v. It seems to drop at WOT to around 13-13.5v

Okay cool. 13.2 seems a little low at idle to me but I'll see what it does when I drive it. I haven't driven it since I put the new alt bracket in. I just really don't want to pull this alt again haha

IS it a huge PITA to pull the alt. when it's relocated to the back of the block?

It sure looked like it was when I was there. I can't even imagine how much of a PITA it would be with the intake manifold on.

It I'd definitely a pain in the ass when it's relocated. I pull the intake manifold because it makes it a million times easier. And Swifty has that intake setup nice. It's quite easy to pull
