FFWD Connection Camshafts
i was looking at the DKS2's (272/272's). does anyone know anything about this company. they say they are just like hks and hold the same quality and they seem legit but im still a bit iffy. they have a pretty good price also

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
I would go with legit HKS 272 or nothing else. I think brandon (Halon) did not have good luck with these DKS cams.

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
Brandon/Halon had very poor luck with the DKS cams. HKS makes the best DSM cams IMO.

What about Brian Crower? $320 shipped for brand new 272's.

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
BC's need to be degreed in more than a HKS.
What was Halon's issue with the DKS's?
Just look around for some HKS's. They pop up often and you really can't go wrong with them. I bought mine brand new for $300. You just have to be on the lookout for them.

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
BC cams suck for the S2k and the Evo which leads me to believe they are a very poor cam choice with little to no R&D or quality control.

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
What about Crower cams? I am having very good luck with Crower 64414 cams which is similar to the 280 cam.

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
Maybe I'm smoking something but I've heard nothing but good reviews about BC cams and that's why I decided to go with them. But who knows..

Who knows, maybe they work well on DSM's. Still doesn't mean I'd trust them though They couldn't make a cam to do anything but lose power on the S2000 and their Evo cams were quite lacking in the AMS cam shootout.

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
BCs are dyno proven, HKS is the best but for the money you really cant beat BCs they were on back order all last year because of high demand

I'm rocking the dks 272 cams. Seemed to make good power for what they are and I don't think Nick degreed them when he put them in.

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
I was not impressed with those DKS cams. I felt no difference in the car. Idle wasn't even affected. I took them out, and put in the real HKS's. I made around 15hp more with the HKS's. a few months later. If course there are other factors that could have played a factor, it was colder out the night I dynoed with the HKS's.
someone did a cam test, maybe on dsmlink I can't remember. They didn't do all that good of a job controlling variables though, so the results could be a little skewed. Search on there if you'd like, might find some useful info.

I had thier 272's and the idle was very lopey. I did notice link was saying alot better flow up top. I would degree them if I used them again to make sure I utilized there full potential, I think there are regrinds also. But cheap and seem to help top end. Only according to the ass dyno though.

Re: FFWD Connection Camshafts
I have BC 280s and really like them. A lot more power than stockers. They probably are made in China somewhere, but I'd trust them more than DKS regrinds.

I also had a bit of an issue with their customer service. Good luck with that 1 year warantee. I'm never spending money there again.
