98/99 eclipse spyder, needs motor

What would it take to turn this from a 2.4 car into a 2.0L turbo car or just an NA 2.0L?

My cousin has it and wants to get it running again and I have no clue about swap crap within mitsus like this.

Thanks.

put pistons on it and a 2.0 head and have at it. other than that you need a ecu and add wires or just swap out the harness for a turbo one. mine was a 2.4 when I bought it. I just added wires on the stock harness and bolted a stock 2g t-25 set up on it when it was a 2.4 sohc still and ran it that way for a while at 10psi

hmm.

I just found out the stock 2.4 snapped a t-belt or something.
So I'd want a 2.0L turbo harness, ECU and motor?

It has an auto in it. Looking for a simple fix since 2.4s seem to be hard to find.

Thanks for the help.

Re: 98/99 eclipse spyder, needs motor

the spyders were 7bolt 2.4's
galants and expo's would be the best bet for just a stock replacement. you will just have to use the sensors off the spyder since the use a cas and the galants and expos use a distributor.
U pull it is the cheapest place to pick one up. I got a full 94 galant gs 2.4 dohc for 200.00
