Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

I would believe it was an original hatch.

And yes none of this was disclosed. And it's hard to believe some of the stuff he did say was actually true as well.

But again at least so far the stuff I have found in the big picture doesn't really matter as I wasn't going to keep or use in the end anyways.

Just sucks as I had planned to sell some of this stuff to pay for upgrades, but doesn't look like it's going to be possible now.

That should be a very good Father’s Day present for you or whatever you wanna call it, pretty big order! Excited to hear if you like the doors. Is his price on the website per door or for both?

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

Price is for Both doors and Sergio doesn't always follow his listed prices, seems you get discounts for ordering multiple parts.

As an fyi.. I got such a big order because of what happened with my last hood, and we came to an agreement on compensation.

But he made good on his word, went above an beyond with compensation, and shipped my parts with out me paying a dime at the time of shipment (paypal converted my money to pesos, I didn't have an option to change it to dollars, so he refunded me my money which takes 3-5 business days) which would have caused me to miss the pickup as it happened the day of.. but Sergio said not to worry and shipped it anyways)

But basically my end of it was - to do an honest review on all the parts on tuners which in had already posted I was going to do last month, and as a return gesture for Sergio making good on his word and offering more then i asked for, I offered to put at least 1 sticker on each of my cars.

I got the V2 hood free and I got my center console free, which I also had him custom make as I wanted the radio area filled in so I could mount more racing stuff. As well as pretty discounted pricing on all the remaining parts.

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

So update on my carbonetics stuff.
The shipment arrived in columbia last friday.

So I called monday to setup a delivery time since I hadn't heard anything.

And they said the pallet with my stuff wasn't on the truck when it arrived in columbia and they are trying to track it down.

They said it was last scanned in at their charlotte warehouse but that was the last time anyone's seen it.

I've called 3 days in a row now and no luck.

I've contacted Sergio on the matter but so far all he's said us keep him updated.

How long should I give them or Sergio to find my stuff before filing a claim?

Sounds like he's a standup guy and if things are coming from out of the country, there can easily be customs delays. I'd hold off a bit.

That dash looks awesome! I bet Rau would've killed for that back in the day.

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

Freight carrier is YRC... he used uship.com

The tracking said it arrived in columbia SC.. last friday.

And when I called they said the truck showed up,but my pallet of parts wasn't on it.

So they were going to have to call all the other warehouses it stopped at to see if it was left at one of them. (California, dallas, atlanta, charlotte, columbia)

Their system said the last place the pallet was scanned in was when it was supposed to loaded onto the truck from charlotte to columbia.

Just heard from sergio.

He said I wasn't the only one they messed up this go around.

They lost my shipment. And delivered another one to the wrong address.

Hes filed a claim and has started working on it.

It really does suck. I'm supposed to he picking my red car up from the shop next week also. So it would have been perfect timing on recieving the parts.

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

Well set back apon setback now.

Talked to Sergio and it's now been confirmed by the shipping company that the truck driver stole the shipment. So Sergio claims they have till this Friday to find it. And if nothing he said he'll start the process of remaking all my parts which he says will only take 2-3weeks.

But I also Went camping at table rock state park last 4 days in upstate south carolina and was supposed to pick up my car on the way home.
So called to verify and yep not ready. Just like everyone else my Moroso pan doesnt fit with the Kiggly girdle. So that's got to still get addressed. And he hasn't finished up my seat mod yet.

What sucks is although I'm off till monday. My next day off where ill have enough time to go get it won't be till aug 10th.

So now my july 21st track day is out also.

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

My morosso pan didn’t work either with my girdle. Had to clearance out the flywheel side where it was hitting the stud and use a gasket now as well for more clearance.

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

So on my way home today YRC freight called me to tell me they found my shipment and want to deliver it monday.
I'm going to refrain from telling sergio or posting on other forums till the parts show up as there is no telling what condition they'll be in or if they'll all be there.

Also talked to my builder last night and he said my red car will be ready next sunday for pick up. Unless some on for seen issue arises.

So keeps your fingers, toes, what ever you got crossed, say a prayer, etc. And wish me luck.

Re: 1997 GSX - DD, RR, and 11's.

Well my parts showed up today. They had to shut down the highway yesterday due to an accident and the driver was stuck there for 3hrs.

Anyrate the wife and i spent 2hrs unwrapping all the parts while the truck driver waited to make sure everything was ok. Which is a good thing

The driver didn't mind given the situation surprisingly.

Everything was ok but my side skirts. The box they were in was standing upright on the pallet and was the tallest point. They must have hit a doorway with it as the top foot of the box was bent over and sure enough the side skirts were cracked right at the same spot as the bend in the box. But everything else looked great including my custom center console. Which was exactly as I asked.

Sergio is sending put a new pair of side skirts via ups.

Oh you got the dry carbon, much lighter than the fancy weave parts you usually see.
