Looks nice, you have me currently searching Google on a DYI PC System
If I give up, I may have to send you some $ and my VC/Misc parts to PC if you would please.

He was probably, hopefully working on my Shortblock and didn't want to be caught in the act of working on the Top Secret Six-Bolt 4G63 LS1 E4TR!

Re: Powder results
Well my old pipes got ruined when I opened up the radiator cap when it was still hot, and blew hot coolant all over and stained the old pipes. Those were also my first pieces I ever did, and I think I slightly under-cured them, so they needed to be redone anyway. My wrinkle black one was holding up well, except it had a crack in it causing oil leaks. My gloss black one Swifty has. I did some piping for a guy with a lexus probably about 4 months back, and his stuff still looks good. I'm keeping this stuff for awhile so we'll see how long it lasts. Hopefully awhile though!

Re: Powder results
That black cherry vc looks great! My car is the black cherry color as well and I really want to find a color that matches the car. How does that match? I was thinking about this color https://host532.ipowerweb.com/~rosey...banburyred.jpg
btw your work is great! You should become a vender on the boards

Re: Powder results
I travel too much to ever really make this a business. It's a hobby, nothing more. And I can do one-sies and two-sies here and there on the side. We mainly keep the basic neutral colors in stock (Different blacks, gun-metal, silver, almost-chrome, clear coat). If some one wants something done in a different color, I'd have to charge to buy the powder because it's not something I have or will probably use much of in the future.
About wanting to match the black cherry. I have not found a powder out there that matches the cars color. You can buy powder tint, that will darken the color, but I went a different avenue and tried this transparent approach. It does not match perfectly due to it being darker with the black base. If you shine direct light onto it, it matches fairly well, but in just plain old light, it is pretty dark. But I like how it turned out.
Prices, well when anyone actually wants something done, not "oh in a month maybe", but actually wants it done now, then just hit me up and I'll let you know!

Re: Powder results
Did some lugs today for my best friends civic. I don't know how well they will hold up to wrenches though.
I also did a set for Brownman, but didn't get any pics. Maybe he'll take some pics of them installed on the car with his black evo rims.

Re: Powder results
Doing my intake and UIC pipe now. This is the base coat in Almost Chrome. 2nd coat will be the Transparent Red. Should give it a "candy" appearance.

Re: Powder results
Well I am going to need to buy more of the transparent red. It's not sticking to the pipe very well, and I wasted a ton. Damn

Re: Powder results
Ya, I was thinking they'd chip. Powder Coating is strong, but if you put a wrench on it i'd expect it to prolly chip.

Re: Powder results
Well stripped it all off. I dunno I think maybe my home/hobby setup isn't ideal for doing those candy colors. I ended up redoing everything in a gunmetal color, and gave it a gloss clear coat as well.
