I really want a FMIC, but im saving up for a house and I just cant budged it in right now.
The supra SMIC is from a mk4 supra right?

Re: bad idea or terrible idea?

The car is fine. This hole will not make the block fail and do a damn fine job at clearing crank case pressure. It's a little hole on the engine block. very small compared to all the rest of the holes on the block like the freeze plugs and the balance shaft alignment hole on the back.

Maybe because the engine was designed and engineered with those holes in mind? It's not like the passage going from the head to the crankcase is small. Putting a larger hole and fitting in the valve cover instead of drilling into the block seems like a much more wise idea. But I digress, common sense isn't so common.

Re: bad idea or terrible idea?

Even if the motor got messed up, why is everyone giving him shit saying it is a stupid idea? Before this, who knew what was going to happen???? Nobody as nobody had the balls to try it.

He is pretty much conducting an experiment for the DSM community. It is a good idea but who knows how a dsm motor will take it??? I don't see why people on here are giving him shit for his experiment.

There may be one way to do something but that doesn't mean that there isn't a better way.

Just because it sounds like a good idea doesn't mean it is.

When you have an Anus do you need to improve on it by drilling a hole in your stomach? Its a great expirement, why not try it?
Drilling into a perfectly good built block is a stupid idea. You are killing a good block, Expirement with a junker block first.

If your engine truly popped, sorry to hear that.

It can be very discouraging when something like this happens, good luck
