FS: 2001 Kawasaki ZX6R $1500 or b/o

SOLD

Hey everyone. Got my bike going up for grabs.

It's yellow, black and white (2001 graphics package). Bike is basically stock other than flushmount turnsignals, wired for an XM Roady 2 (which I may take out of there anyways) and a double-bubble shield.

It has 65,000 miles on it. It will need some work done to it to be ridable.

Maintainance needed:

New tires
Fork seals
Battery
possibly a tune up

It's been sitting for a season and a half without being ridden. We are having a baby in a few months and need to get rid of some things that are taking up space. I started it up a week ago and it does run. It has old gas in it so it would have to be drained or mixed with good stuff to run it through. Otherwise it has always been a good runner. I put a rear shock on it before I parked it that only had about 4400 miles on it. I also have a powdercoated black swingarm that I can throw in on the deal.

I will try to get some pics up in the next day or 2.

If you are interested, either email me ( awd1dr at yahoo dot com) or call me at six-5-one-4-seven-0-zero-3-seven-1.

Thanks.

Erik D

The bike has been down twice. Once by me and once by a friend of mine. I was pushed off the road and it had an easy down along a curb giving it some rash on the right side and breaking the plastics a little. The second down was a little worse. It landed on the left side and slid under a parked pickup. That's where it got the dent in the frame. Frame is still straight though. I had to replace the gas tank because of a dent. This tank was off of the exact same year and color so the graphics matched perfectly.

There is a lot of life left in her. It could be used as a track bike as well.

I was asked a couple times if I would entertain trades. Sorry, but no.

It's a nice in between bike. It is easy enough to steer around as a starter, but there is enough power there to be a good go between of a 500 and a 1000. It gets you prepped for a bigger bike without feeling like you absolutely need to go bigger too soon. If that makes any sense.

It's still sitting in the garage just begging for a new home! I'll be putting it up on craigslist tomorrow night.

These things were a little over 100hp from the factory with a dry weight of 377lbs!!! Can you power-to-weight!!!

They are most definitely fun machines!

Re: FS: 2001 Kawasaki ZX6R $1500 or b/o

Bringing back an old thread. If anyone is interested in this old thing, it's back up on craigslist again. Not by me this time though. I happened to be scrounging through for a project bike and saw the title to this ad. I thought, it couldn't be my old one. I looked at the ad and low and behold, it is! He's done some work to it, but read my old ad here and his new ad and see what else is different other than the repairs he put into it. It must be owned by Marty McFly or something....

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hn...077858290.html

I don't know if this is the guy that bought it from me, or someone that bought it from him. The guy I sold it to had a dealership in Becker. This one seems to be in Savage. So I don't know if this guy is aware of the mileage discrepancy or not.
