You need to adjust your clutch pedal.

Moved to Transmission Tech.

Try this,
Check your clutch rod and pedal adjustments
Bleed your clutch hydraulic system

If that doesn't do it, you may have to look at the clutch assembly itself.

Do some stretching excersices and crawl under the dash (on your back). Look to the top and you will see a rod that threads into the top of the pedal asembly. Take a 12mm wrench (I believe) and loosen the jam nut. Take a pliers or vice grip and turn the rod until it is almost all the way out of the pedal. Tighten the jam nut and test the car.

Are you sure you are not on any hill? Also you can try bleeding the clutch. Vfaq shows the clutch pedal adjustment along with teamrip.com. Have fun.

What are you referring to as the "rear adjustment"? The last time I checked, everything was in the front of the car. The adjustment I am talking about is under the dash.

A 2600 will limit your free play. Mine has to be dam near touching the firewall before it is disengaged. That is what you get when you upgrade clutches.

Re: act2600 car slipping at 4500rpm??

There is only one that I have adjusted. It is at the top of the pedal and the rod runs through the pedal and into a boot that you see. If you look under the hood you will see where it comes out at the fluid resivior (cannot actually see the rod but it will give you an idea on where to look under the dash. Vfaq has a diagram alone with teamrip.com. That is the only adjustment I know about. QPR has longer clutch rods which may help. I got one but I dont believe I have it in my car anymore. It is supposed to move the clutch pedal furthur off the floor.

Stainless braided clutch hoses/lines, billet clutch fork, longer slave rods, modifying the master cylinder, shimming the pivot ball......The 2600 has plagued DSMers since it's intro. I would try adjusting it some more, invest in some stainless lines (allows you to eliminate the FPR), then either purchase longer slave rod or you can try shimming the rod temp. to see if that fixes your problem.

Re: act2600 car slipping at 4500rpm??

2600's work just fine if the rest of the system is up to par. The problem is usually a worn clutch fork/pivot ball or the pedal assembly. I am pretty sure it is a 1g, so there is no restrictor in the line. The SS line on a 1g doesn't do much (I have one).

Bleed the system, then adjust the rod that is right by the top of the accelerator pedal. If that doesn't do it, it is probably your pedal assembly, check that.

Re: act2600 car slipping at 4500rpm??

He said he had a 2g AWD....that's why I mentioned that. If he had a 1g, then I would have him check the clutch pedal assembly....that's a given. As well as the other hydraulic components which often fail after a 2600 install.
