WTB Evo8 or Evo9

I'm looking to buy an Evo8 or Evo9. I would prefer it to be stock or as near stock as possible, preferably black or white, preferably a RS but a GSR is the next best thing, I'm not intersted in any MRs, and preferably under 100k miles.

I do check Craigslist often for any new ads but I havnt been to any dealerships. Let me know what you have or what cars you know of that are for sale. Thanks

I've seen your ad before. As of the moment I'm not interested in that car although I'm sure its nice. I just want something with a little less miles. If I change my mind I will definitely give you call and come check it out.

I'm still looking for one. I would like to buy one before fall starts. I've checked all the local dealerships already and I check Craigslist and autotrader daily.

Start checking on evolutionm dot net. Lots of cars for sale on there daily. And FWIW RS's don't come in black sorry. Pretty sure only white and red.

Re: WTB Evo8 or Evo9

I too am looking for an Evo! 95Talonracer's Evo looks solid. Just my opinion, but I'd rather trust a member's on here than a dealer or someone on craigslist because you never know how much abuse it's been through and how recent maintenance it's had. Mileage is high yes, but it's all about maintenance when I've been researching on Evos. In my search for an Evo (from what I'm witnessing), I discovered most of them in the 13-15k range are either abused, not well maintained or has ALOT of mileage. Anything under 12k, was just not worth buying that Evo. 95TalonRacer's Evo is one I'm looking at as of right now....just hoping no else grabs it!!

Re: WTB Evo8 or Evo9

I don't know why but I avoid looking on evolutionm.net because it's hard to filter out all the Evos in different states and stuff. I mean I'm not willing to drive to Florida or somewhere far away you know what I'm saying?

I figure if an Evo that is close to here is going to go up on sale, they're either going to be on here, craigslist, or autotrader.

Re: WTB Evo8 or Evo9

Thinking back I should have acted a little more quickly and bought t-revzr's white evo. That was definatly the best local Evo I've seen up for sale within 4 hours from St. Paul hands down.

Re: WTB Evo8 or Evo9

I'm only looking for a white or black Evo. I'm kind of picky, I don't know why. I just think black and white Evos look the best, but that's just my opinion.

I've come to realize that Evos are really hard to find, or at least hard to find around these parts. I wouldn't have imagined they were this rare :/

Apparently, dealers also know this. A super mint 06 MR went through today and it brought what I thought was retail money. EVO's are one of the few cars that seem to actually be going up in value, at least the lower mileage mint ones.

Yeah I noticed this too, to some extent that is. Some private sellers want like $2-3K (or more) over the KBB price for a car listed in excellent shape. Very few cars are in perfect excellent shape. I'm like wth?!, I like Evos but they're not worth 25K (or more =\) to me (EvoVIIIs & IXs that is). It's gets pretty frustrating. If I'm paying 25K+ for an evo I mind as well save up a little more and just get an EvoX that is in better shape and has lss mileage. Don't get me wrong, I've seen a few decently priced Evos, just that while some are priced fairly, others are asking ridiculous asking prices. I've been looking at a bunch of cars over the past two months, I'm just getting sick of searching for a car. If I would have acted faster (and known how frustrating this would be to find a car), I should have just bought t-revzr's evo =\

I'm not interested in any silver Evos, sorry. I'm just not attracted to silver evos for some reason. I want to like that color but I just don't. It's all personal preferance, nothing wrong with silver.

What do you plan on doing with the car? If you plan on doing a lot of track racing with the car I would think about it and see if you can swing an Evo X. For drag or street racing an 8 is fine and most cost effective. For doing everything a IX is nice if you can find one for a decent price.

It will be my DD to get from point A to point B for now that is. I understand where you're getting at though, I spent alot of time debating if I should just spring for an EvoX. I could just shell out a few extra G's and just get an EvoX and just keep it stock if I just wanted a strictly stock DD, but I like options because I might start modding it sometime down the line and want a fast car. Not saying that EvoXs can't be fast, but you know. Besides I like the VIIIs and IXs better. Although I could just get an EvoX at this point I don't want to spend that much money. I could, but I won't. I'll just keep waiting and see what comes around.
