Re: Grinding In Reverse?????????

Before I put my car in Reverse, I first shift it into 1st, and then into Reverse. Sometimes if I just go to throw it in Reverse, it will grind. But shifting to 1st, and then Reverse, seems to help a bit.

Re: Grinding In Reverse?????????

Make sure the clutch master cylinder is adjusted properly too. Also, replace that tranny fluid with some good Redline stuff, I'm pretty sure Chris just had stock stuff in there. Replace all your rubber shifter bushings too with some nice metal ones, it makes a huge difference in shifter/tranny feel.

Re: Grinding In Reverse?????????

With my Evo I pretty much can't get it into reverse without going into 3rd first. After that it goes right in.

Re: Grinding In Reverse?????????

Reverse isnt a synchro'd gear (straight cut) so there for if your input shaft is spinning it will grind. By putting the tranny in 1st/3rd/5th, it stops the input shaft.
