What is your suspension and how do you rate it.
I'm on the hunt for a good suspension. I wanted to know what you guys have and how do you like or rate your suspension in your car.
So far I'm looking at H&R Springs
and
AGX struts.
Anyone have any feed back on this combo?

Good choice on springs, but for a 2G I'd recomend the Tokico Illumna (sp?) 5-way adjustable shocks. You should also get a stiffer rear antisway bar, that will make a huge difference. Strut bars always help too (front and rear).

i would agree with him too i guess, the agx's are pretty bouncy. it handled good, but very bouncy, if you have a lot of driving to do, and on bumpy roads it can get annoying. I've heard the illumina's were very good, just didn't have the coin to drop on them at the time.

I have AGX's and H&R's on my 1g. They are pretty damn stiff. I think they just offer the race kits for 1g's, so you might be able to get a little softer version for the 2g.

I have AGX's and Ground Control Coilovers for my GVR4, stiff and a little bouncy going over bumps on the highway.

Same setup that I had on my Talon (plus a rear antisway bar and a strut brace) and on the smooth roads it handled amazingly well, but come those bumps it got very uncomfortable and harsh.

Eibach Sportlines, Koni adjustables, shortened lower control arms in the rear, bigger sway bar in the rear, both strut bars from Bushnuts and poly bushings throughout the suspension. Handles real good and rides decent, although the setup is about 9 years old now except for the Eibachs. I've only set the Koni's to full stiff once and I was able to take a long sweeping freeway on ramp at 125mph. :-)

I have AGX's and H&R's on my 1G. Handling is great but the ride is just a few notches better than a wagon. For a daily driver I'd want to sacrifice a little of the handling for a better ride.

When I load up with 5 people and a full tank of gas and a trunk full of shit it actually makes my GVR4 driveable, but when its just me in the car, its really annoying.....
Stay away from AGX's unless you are actually going to race your car more then you DD it.
next time around I want to get all factory replacements, its totally worth it

Re: What is your suspension and how do you rate it.
I used to have GR2's and stock springs on my old eclipse and those shocks were perfect for DD. I was going to get eibach springs but I didnt want to mess with the camber so I never got around to it...
I have Bilsteins and H&R's on my M3 and it rides nice but its a little bumpy.

Re: What is your suspension and how do you rate it.
Thanks guys for your help!
I've changed my mind and I'm going to go with the Tokico Illumna's with H&R springs.
Hopefully I'll like them, and it will get rid of the jump my back end likes to take across the highway when i hit alittle bump... Wow it's scary!!!
The order is in.. Now I gotta find a friend who has a spring compressor... hmmmmm

Re: What is your suspension and how do you rate it.
Probably too late to reply to this but I use Tokico Illumna's with Ground Control coil overs on my '99 GSX. They were on car when i bought it. Work Great! When i bought the car in Indiana the previous owner took it out one last time with me in it and went on some extreme snaky roads and did shit that i would never allow myself to do. It scared me, But it handled incredible.
