Jess's 1997 Talon AWD 12 year Build Stroker Never Fired

12 year build on 97 eagle talon AWD and everything has been sitting in boxes except what you see in pics.

Engine:


Dart Sleeves .30 over
JE Alum Pistons
Eagle Rods
Forged Crank
Real Alum flywheel
SS custom machined and ground valves
regular evo 3 lifter upgrade
Cams
Dumbass stock head pulleys
underdrive crank pulley
only running power steering and alternator

Turbo/Manifold/Down/Dump/Exhaust/Intercooler

XS Power T3 .63
OBX Manifold custum welded and ported and polished w/ Turbonetics WG
3 Inch Down Turn w.02 Bung
3 Inch Downpipe Ceramic Coated
3 Inch all the way back
Turbonetics Wastegate w/ Straight Dump in front of driver front wheel
14x26x3 inch wide cooler 2.5 and 3 inch piping BOV dual dump and re pipe into intake before 3.5 GM MAF

STILL NEED COMPUTER SET UP FOR INJECTORS AND TUNING IF ANYONE KNOWS OF ANY ONE SELLING A SET UP CHEAP. READY TO FIRE WITH STOCK INJECTORS FOR BREAK IN.

Why are the stock "head pulleys" dumb?

You should swap out that underdrive pulley for one that actually dampens.

And get a non-Ebay turbo and manifold.

Not colorful, shiny, or adjustable. Your swag rating drops several points without them!

I'm definitely with goodhart. Get a proper dampener, whether OE or aftermarket like this:

I've ran ebay turbos and manifolds before on a couple different cars......

The manifolds work fine as long as you have a welder handy so you can weld it back up when it cracks.

The turbos work fine as long as you are completely prepared to have one scatter and take out your engine, which were stock 6 and 7 bolts in my case, and I was finding them for $250-350 at the time.

On a fresh build, ditch the China junk. You're better off running a stock exhaust manifold (though this will also drop your swag rating) and a bolt on turbo setup. It will save you alot of headache (and possible heartache when you throw a stroker with <10k into the scrap pile).
