Motor Problems?!?!

Car is 03 eclipse 2.4 No mods 115k miles on it.

Its getting more and more common now, but the problem with my car is I will be accelerating and my motor does not want to rev over 4k while in gear with the gas pedal to the floor it just falls on its face like hitting the rev limiter almost. Did I spin a bearing??? Fuel not keeping up (clogged injectors weak fuel pump) I finally have money in the bank and The damn car just starts taking a shit. Its the feeling of when your clutch slips/ or hitting the rev limiter.

Yeah when it hits 4k it honestly sounds like the motor is going crazy. That or its just thirsty. Didn't think about the cat. I'll just bypass it. I'm hoping its something really really minor. It comes stock with two cats one 5 inches off the exhaust mani. that was honed out but another one underneath the car is in still in place. And I s'pose its been doing double time for the last 80k miles

That's money in the bank right there!

It could be a lot of different things. Do a "boost" leak test on it, to see if it is sucking in unmetered air and running lean. Have you changed plugs recently? The gap might be too big and they are flaming out. Does it have plug wires?

WOW plugs are as white as a peice of printer paper and the gap is huge. So new plugs injectors are clogged (i'm sure) getting a new fuel filter today also.

Re: Motor Problems?!?!

Why do you find that hard to believe? They've been a Mitsu favorite for years.

Just knowing they run them in a 4g63 with a turbo and here's my 3g putting out 75 horse power to the wheels N/A and running the same injectors.
