my factory alarm keeps going off within the last few days. the only thing I've done is put on new battery connectors and cleaned up the posts a bit. It has been raining alot, if that could effect it at all.
What kind of car? If its a 2G the factory alarms suck. There is no way to remove it however you can disable it. When you shut the car off remove the key and open the door and hit the power locks to lock the doors. When you see the green security light come on put the key back in the ignition and turn it until the green light goes away.
You have to do this pretty quick before the light goes off on its own. This will disable the alarm. My 2G did the same thing and there is no ryhme or reason for it. They just suck and thats it. I had my car in the damn garage and the alarm would go off on its own.
Next time list more information on the car in question or it will get deleted.
