Cleaning up the Engine Bay
Just looking for suggestions on how to make my engine bay look cleaner. Want to keep the a/c and cruise. Here is a current pic:

Re: Cleaning up the Engine Bay
-Battery Relocation,
-Throttle cable under manifold,
-Coil on plug or move coil pack down,
-Injector harness under manifold,
-If thats an oil pressure or temperature sensor on the head, maybe you can move that down to the oil filter housing,
-Maybe move your power steering hose under the motor mount (it fits)
-Remove firewall padding,
-Lower main wireharness on firewall
-Move to MBC that isnt in the cabin
-Move firewall components to lower places.
-Remove tabs holding lines and wires

Re: Cleaning up the Engine Bay
Loop throttle cable below intake manifold. Drop battery down on the cross member. Injector wire and thermostat housing harness could be ran under the intake manifold. Lower coil pack and anything on top of the firewall could be moved down. There are plenty of other holes for mounting. You didn't say anything about power steering but I'm gonna guess you wanna keep that..
Here is the link to my tuck I did from beginning to end. http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showth...ight=wire+tuck
Annndd here is the pic of my bay to give you some idea's.

Re: Cleaning up the Engine Bay
Fuse box was tough man.. I don't know if I wanna do that again. haha. The other stuff though isn't all that hard. If you follow the thread I made it should be pretty simple.

Turn the pipe with the BOV upside down so you don't see it.

Re: Cleaning up the Engine Bay
Lol. I made the fan from a newer galant that was thin and had 5 fan blades. Then cut up the shrouding from my stock fan and made it fit. Pretty ghetto but I didn't have the money for a slim fan at the time. Sometime soon I'll be getting a slim fan though.

Re: Cleaning up the Engine Bay
Dude! All I got is change in my wallet and I think 25 bucks in my checking account.. The day will come when I'll just get an aluminum radiator and 2 slim fans. Til then, I remain a poor man.

Re: Cleaning up the Engine Bay
did you paint your red while the engine was still in it? how did you do it? I wanna bondo up the holes not being used, and clean it all up, spray primer, paint, clear..but i'm NOT pulling it out! and if i wait till spring to paint, then the intake will all be back on it too..

Re: Cleaning up the Engine Bay
All that red is original my man.. Click on the link I posted above and it's got everything I've done in it from start to where it is now. For the holes I just taped around them, bondo'd, sanded, and then painted. Could have been done better but I wasn't really patient when I did it.

Re: Cleaning up the Engine Bay
Honestly it was just that clean.. All I've done to clean it was some wipe on wax stuff. But I did clean my other talon since that was NASTY and I used simple green, water/bleach, and a tooth brush. Worked pretty damn good!
