1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD

Up for sale is my 1996 Talon AWD, I bought the car 4 years ago with 85000 miles. Has 142xxx now since I used to drive back and forth between Des Moines and Minneapolis every couple weekends. So it's basically all highway miles, always kept up on maintenance, and I have no reservations about driving the car across several states. It's been really reliable except I just take it apart all the time, and I decided it's time to move on.

Here is the mods list:

Engine/Drivetrain
2.3l 6 bolt
.020 over ross pistons, 9:1
eagle rods
fully balanced
Rings & rod bearings replaced about 1500 miles ago
1g head, ported
1mm oversized SS valves, recently cleaned up/hot tanked when I replaced the piston rings over winter.
Crower springs/titanium retainers
FP4R cams
AEM adjustable cam gears
Lots of machine work on the head and block, I have receipts for most of it, around $1000. Aside from the rings, all parts on the motor have about 15,000 miles on them.

Shep stage 4 tranny with 4-spider and torrington bearing, have receipt for everything done
ACT 2900 clutch

Turbo/Exhaust
FP Red turbo, polished comp housing, ceramic coated hot side
FP race manifold, ceramic coated
40mm external wastegate
Ceramic coated tubular o2 housing
Full 3" exhaust, stainless ebay downpipe, Thermal catback

Intake/Fuel
JMF race intake manifold, new style with velocity stacks
Spearco FMIC, core measures 28x12x3.5
All 2.5" IC piping
Dejon 4" intake
4.5" piping from MAS to sidemount CAI, huge K&N filter
(all intake/piping powdercoated black)
2g MAS, lower honeycomb removed
Greddy Type S bov, recirculated into intake
1350cc bluemax injectors
Rewired 255hp pump

Suspension
Ksports
Suspension techniques adjustable front anti-sway bar
RM rear anti-sway bar
Front and rear camber kits
Front and rear upper strut tower bars
Lower rear control arms brace (not currently installed)

Electronics
DSMLink v2.5
Taylor 10mm wires
Autometer 30psi boost gauge
AEM UEGO wideband
Prosport oil pressure
Prosport water temp
Prosport fuel pressure
Projector headlights
Clifford two-way alarm system
12" PPI pro subwoofer
4 channel amp, 500 watts RMS

Other
Metal bushings in shifter base and shifter cables
B&M short shifter, set at 35% reduction but also can do 50%
Konig Imagine 18x7.5 wheels with newish Sumitomo HTZ-RII tires
Stock 92 gsx rims with Goodyear Ultra-Grip Ice tires, at least a winter or two left on them
Powerslot rotors in front and rear
Porterfield R4S pads with lots of life left
20% tint on front windows, limo tint in back
Tinted tail lights
AC removed
ABS removed

Corbeau seats and harnesses
Pioneer Avic-D3 navigation unit, has the iPod cable and bluetooth module add-ons
Escort 8500 X50 radar detector, hardwired through the roof
3/S 4-piston front calipers, Evo rear calipers, all 4 drilled/slotted rotors, just need the adapter brackets for the fronts and rims that will clear

Car made 412awhp @ 28psi at DB where it was tuned, the turbo is pretty much maxed out at that power level. At just 21psi it made 360awhp, so you might be able to make around that much on regular pump gas.

Asking price is $8,000.

Re: 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD

Is that a hacked up Forced Performance intake used before the MAFT for the cold air intake haha? If it is or isn't, is that PVC to cover the Recirculation part of it?

Re: 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD

No, it's a 4.5" aluminum bend to connect filter to stock 2g MAS, then 4" dejon intake to turbo. Nothing hacked about it, it's about the only way to get a CAI without going to a MAFT which I don't want to do.

There is a PVC catch can in between the valve cover and intake, yea. Didn't feel like spending $40 when I could spend $5, just doesn't look as pretty. I'll probably paint it black along with the CAI pipe.

Re: 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD

Sorry, when I said hacked I meant modified, in no way was I trying to imply that it was done poorly! Also when I said MAFT, I meant 2g MAS...

Anyways good luck with sale, mods and compression look promising! The reason I asked, was because I had a similar setup, FP 4" intake to 2g MAS to 4.5" aluminum bend CAI and it worked really well. I just thought it was pretty damn creative if you modified a FP intake to work for your CAI.

Bump. Including everything (seats, nav, etc) with the car and reduced the price with a couple new pics.

Re: 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD

8000 FIRM. Will not go lower than that, and I need to sell as soon as possible due to some unexpected large expenses. If this doesn't sell, the V is going on the market.

Bump, still for sale. Looks like I may sell the Caddy soon so this may be coming off the market in a few weeks.

Also added a recent engine bay shot to the first post.
