Thumbs down boost problem

i cannot hold boost. i try running stock boost hooking the vacuum line from the j pipe straight to the waste gate without any boost controller. people say that will be for sure at stock boost. i keep on getting boost up to 20 psi.

would a boost controller help hold boost?

Re: boost problem

Is the car modded at all?

if you have a free flowing/modded exhaust it will cause boost creep aka run more boost than you want too.

Please provide more info on teh car so we can help you better.

Re: boost problem

With that type of setup you have to already have a boost controller, give some more info about the car and what its doing

Re: boost problem

Well assuming its internal gate, you basically don't have enough restriction to hold boost that low.

Easiest/cheapest route would be a MBC from MAP or DB, I'm sure they have them on the shelves for cheap.

Re: boost problem

Is this the same car with the clutch issues. If so you shouldn't be doing boost pulls until you fix your tranny problems
