Just drive down the freeway like we are if you are worried about the weather.

^That is my plan. I still fully intend to go

I will just start the party early at New Ulm if needed. I have a hotel room and a brewery tour to attend!

I guess I didn't mean to sound like I was bailing.

I do however expect half of the signed up attendance if its shitty weather.

I think we need to go back to the old "bail and get a month ban" policy.

Sorry, i drove in the snow this week and a few weeks ago, it sucks, my car slides everywhere.

By all means, drive your car. Whether I drive my kizashi or my evo, if its snowing I will be going the same speed.
Its not going to be snowing, if anything a few flurries and some rain. Are you going to drive like that big of an asshat to get yourself/car in trouble? I doubt anyone else would either. I'm not trying to be a dick here but I've got 45K into mine and don't here me whining about a little snow/rain. Is it ideal? Obviously not.

Edit: Understandable if its flat out snowing but if not?......

Not going to be snowing? Are you a weatherman? Yes, you know so much.

Me drive like an asshat? Have you ever been on a real cruise with this group doosh? They do not drive slow at all, in fact they drive pretty much on the dangerous side. Regardless of what they say on here, driving 100+ through twisties is dangerous. I have been on these and they are not exactly boring or normal driving. Congrats, but you don't have 45k into yours, I am not talking with my car purchase, and guess what, if I wreck mine trying to keep up with a group of mitsu peeps, I get maybe half of my cars worth.

No thanks, I will drive the daily and just have fun in New Ulm.

Seriously, you people saying we are "whining" have clearly never been on a real cruise because its not safe what so ever in non dry conditions. I don't care what the fuck you say.

Who cares what the hell you drive, as long as you don't completely flake like the others!

I planned on riding with someone, but hell, if it comes down to it, I'll take the grandpa ass Lincoln and keep up just fine.

I'm not talking about no going. It's just funny you guys are pretending like a normal cruise entails normal driving

^I'm not! I'm just saying, people be whining about not having a ZOMFGSTUPIDFAST car so they don't think they can hang with the pack. Lots of people drive fast, that is no secret, but these things have always been at each drivers pace and personal comfort level, if it's getting too crazy, let people pass you and go to the back of the crowd or where it's closer to your comfort level. That's why we have map packets.

I have never driven my evo in the snow but I’m taking it. You can’t threaten me with a good time! My buddy with his x feels the same way haha.

Re: MitsuStyle Spring 2013 cruise - April 20 & 21 - New Ulm, MN

Just trying to help here, I was out all day yesterday at DCTC where it was barely 30* and snow, sleet or raining all day. My rwd pos did fine, but obviously I'm not making the power.

So far the forecast says 53* and sunny on sat. 57* and rainy on sunday.

Come on guys leave the anger to me, I'm the one who is miserable and hates fun remember?

Good luck guys.

I am going to be doing the cruise on extreme summer only tires. Not skured

Also, last I checked, the Evo was developed to thrive in slippy environments at speed.

Re: MitsuStyle Spring 2013 cruise - April 20 & 21 - New Ulm, MN

This weekend has been an interesting one, I mean it is supposed to be April right?

I will be there with the evo, I hope others show up in there evo's, if not..... your welcome to ride with me and Andrea.

*this is a public service announcement* I can see everyone is passionate about the cruises and wants to be safe. Lets be honest these cruises are never safe as shown by the track record. So with that in mind, please people use your heads, if conditions are less then optimal, no one is saying you must keep the hammer down or late brake. Just keep the person in front of you with plenty of distance, drive at "your" comfort level as no one likes to run out of talent. Lastly if you french fry when you should of pizza'd, you going to have a bad time.

Re: MitsuStyle Spring 2013 cruise - April 20 & 21 - New Ulm, MN

Jesus Christ...

First of all, the forecast at this point looks fine. Second, there is more sand in vags than on the roads. Third, we've had snow on a spring cruise before and all was well. Why you ask? Because people drive to the conditions! Just because you're on a group car cruise doesn't mean the hammer has to be down. Just because someone in front of you is driving fast doesn't mean that you have to; this is why we now provide detailed cruise route map packets, and worst case you always know the end destination. Drive as fast, or slow, as YOU feel comfortable. No matter how modified or tuned your car is does not mean it has to be driven flat out; we have this really neat capability called low-speed drivability and mid-throttle operation In the end, it is your life, car, money, and insurance on the line. The Evo, and DSM, are excellent foul weather vehicles assuming the driver acts responsibly. Again though, based on the forecast at this point the worst we'll see is wet roads, but I don't even expect that.

Mark and Goodhart have the right spirit here though, this is going to be a very fun event rain, shine, or hailing cows! Nobody but yourself can keep you from having a good time

You mean cruises don't require a 600HP car to be WOT for the entire route? Mind blown!!
