Ford Explorer Price

How much would a 1999 Ford Explorer go for in the market these days? Its a V6 with leather interior with 130000 miles on it. Would it be worth trading my $1500 Talon for?(Im in this for the money)

Re: Ford Explorer Price

I just checked out kbb and the Private party is like $7500-$7900 depending on condition. But I want to know what people would buy it for. I mean I had a hard time selling my sisters 2001 mountaineer for $6000(dealership would only give her $3000 on trade in)

Re: Ford Explorer Price

Depends on a lot of things. Is it rusty? Are the tires and brakes good? Are the suspension and front end parts solid? Is the interior in good shape?

I would say that it is definitely worth a 1500 dollar car.

Re: Ford Explorer Price

From the pics the exterior looks good and everything looks good. Do you think the Explorer would sell for more money then the talon?

Re: Ford Explorer Price

Probably, unless the explorer is junk and the talon is absolutely mint.

Re: Ford Explorer Price

Is the Explorer a 4x4? You can get them in RWD only. A 4x4 will be worth a lot more in Minnesota.

later,
Curt
