Definitely a step in the right direction from the Avenger! Post a picture of the exhaust and I can help you figure out which it is. i like how the earlier WRX's came with MOMO steering wheels. Looks like you also have the optional MOMO shift knob/lever.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX
The price was right, and I figured it would be nice for a daily driver, plus I won't have to be worried to let other people drive it. It's my 6th car and the first auto out of all of em.

I am in the same boat. My gf doesn't drive a stick and I am looking to get something that is 1)hard to find in a manual, and 2)I drive in traffic 30+miles a day, want something "plush" and easy to drive.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX
Well, haven't gotten that picture of the exhaust, but after looking at some pitures online, it looks like its an SPT catback, oh I forgot to mention its also got an STi front strut tower bar too.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX
Thats actually the pics I used!! Thats a good WRX thread, but I think I'm going to do a downpipe and Cobb Accessport stage 2 when I get the money. Then later down the road do either an SPT intake or the Cobb with the heat shield box.
For now I just need to find where to tap into this thing for my Prosport Mechanical boost gauge.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX
Skip the Accessport and use OpenECU/ECUFlash like most of us Evo guys do. Janelle's WRX will actually be ECUFlash dyno-tuned once we get her new downpipe on.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX
Keep it stock and convert the DSM to E85 and maybe get a bigger turbo.

Re: New daily driver: 2004 WRX
Well, this is the setup I was thinking of for the DSM:
fp 3076HTA
fp Cast race manifold
fp 4" intake tube
Tial xxmm Ext wastegate
E85 tune
some kind of 02 housing, probably custom
shep stage 4+
Yes, scheides, you can get a ride in it, I just don't know when It'll be on the road again!

I was actually thinking of finding a used downpipe on MNSubaru, and also maybe an used unmarried v2 accessport, just so I could do it all myself.
All this shit is only going to happen if I have the money though. Hopefully the G.I Bill will go up some more for fall semester.
