Selling my well maintained 2001 BMW 540i, 6 spd manual, 183380 miles. (Mileage will increase)
Car has Sport Package and Winter Package. (Not an M-sport, those were only available in 2003)
I have all records for the car from 80k miles onwards, including receipts and an excel file with all the information in order chronologically.
I honestly do not think there is a better mechanical example of a 540i out there for sale and this one has recent timing chain guides, tensioners, oil separator valve, crankcase case vent, etc. Almost everything in the car has been replaced as per usual with a BMW this age/mileage so there is nothing to worry about.
I will say even if you don't buy this car, please make sure you have proof of the timing chains/guides/tensioners being done, it will range from $2k to 5k to have it done at a shop. (I know I called around)
The body is in fair shape, it does have a few dings and minor rust on the trunk that I've been told is normal for these cars. I will say everyone that sees the car says it is clean.
My written ad is kinda meh, but I've taken a ton of pics, I have that excel file that I mentioned earlier to email to whoever responds and of course I'm willing to meet up for test drives.
I will be driving the car so the mileage will go up, as for the price I think it is fair given the extensive traceable history on this car compared to others. I will accept offers in person.
