I guess it comes down to if you think the service dept at your dealership would notice/care about the cam. If you think they would notice right away or void your warranty for it then don't do it. Really though the only way they'd ever know for sure is if you lost a motor. So only the person that eventually buys it from you needs to worry
But you might be able to get by with one of the milder ones without having to go nuts on the heads too with lifters, pushrods, springs, etc, etc
