I saw a 3-4 mpg increase on my old mazda mx-6 after replacing the filter with a k&n and opening up the air box. I put a k&n in anna's lancer and saw 2-3 mpg increase, but the stock one was soooo dirty, after swapping in the k&n, I swear the car had 15 more horsepower!
