I have a few ideas to make it fair, and a few to make it interesting...
Here's what I was thinking...
You can enter cars in as many classes as you want...
One car per class...
Classes would run like this...
Under 200 hp (de-tuned Honda's etc)
200-400 hp (Stock EVO's, NSX's, mainly suspension oriented cars)
400-600 hp (Cars with decent balls, Vipers, Vettes, RUF etc...)
600+ (Controlled insane power, GTR, RUF, Built cars...)
Super car class (Non F1 Race cars)
F1 Class (Formula One Open Wheel Race Cars)
Unlimited Class (Any car, No F1 or S cars) (As much or as little HP as you want, For the experienced drivers)
Each player would get to qualify their car in ONE lap at Laguna Seca, then you would be placed in a braket according to your times. This may take a while, but we do have all day...
Then round one would take place at an easier track, and difficulty would increase as the braket continues.
Each race would be 3 laps, head to head, single elimination, no loser brakets (except 3rd Place)
Bets could be placed as you wish, but I was thinking about having a $2 entry fee for each class, 50% of the pot going to the champion, 30% to runner up, and 20% to 3rd.
When we're finished with that, there would be open challenges (GRUDGE MATCHES).
Let me know what you think...
BYOB, We need a decent place (Centralized), With a few PS2's and a few TV's to expedite the process.
I have made a few invitations, but you could even make a DSMStyle event out of it...
