Re: RWD Sport Compacts/Imports

240's have independant rear suspension, come stock with an open diff on most cars. A few of them had a VLSD, but for the S13's I believe they were only available with the HICAS (rear steering) which most people get rid of anyway. Your best bet would be to get a VLSD from an Infiniti J30, or go aftermarket.

As far as brakes, they come standard with 4 wheel disc brakes, but they are pretty weak though. Fortunately you can get some 4 piston calipers from a Z32 300zx for the fron, and if you have enough ambition, you can get the rear 2 piston calipers to work as well. The thing about the rears though is that the 240 brakes just clamp down on the caliper when you put on the parking brake, and the 300zx brakes actually have a second drum brake that is used for the parking brake. It's just a little extra work to get it hooked up. You would also be wise to upgrade to the 300zx master cylinder, because the stock 240 one (which was designed for a total of 4 pistons) may have some issues with trying to fill 12 pistons.

I'll post some more info later.
