I doubt that anyone is going to give you a loan to buy a 10+ year old car. Most people can afford them and they are not that great for collateral reasons as they tend to break easier than a new car. They are a higher risk to the loaner.

I started with the "college Visa" at wells fargo. ~1000 limit, ~13% (starting somehow). The limit is now $1500. I have a capital One platinum car (2k limit, 12.9 fixed APR), and I have a BBY card with a $600 limit. I get the damn things in the mail all the time now.
