Thier really restrictive, and if you get too low of airflow through them (hacking the mas too much) the air going through the metered section doesn't have enough speed to make the vorticies consistantly and it gets an incorrect reading and if you get too much airflow through them it also has issues creating and counting the vorticies consistantly (mas overrun)
A hotwire mas or vpc (map sensor) system is much less restrictive and consistant IMO.
