Very much so, I couldn't stand driving around with a welded VC in. The car would also slow down much faster in parking lot turns. I had to really get going faster than I wanted to just to keep going at slow speeds while turning.
I only use my welded VC when I want to dyno, otherwise it stays on my shelf.
