Just an update for the archives, thanks to kjewer1 on the DSMLink forum I found the problem. After an hour or two of swapping sensors, gauges, vacuum hoses, etc. I narrowed it down to this; when the boost gauge sensor is under vacuum or boost there is some kind of bug or electrical problem in the control box that causes it to adjust both the fuel pressure and boost gauge. If I unhook the boost gauge sensor or even just the vacuum hose to the sensor, the fuel pressure gauge works fine.

Jackey, I did take some pics of the inside of the regulator. I'll post them on Monday at work.
