Unfortunately that wasn't it, but thanks for the starting point. At least I got over my fear of opening it up. I was expecting something a lot more complicated with really small springs that I'd loose, etc. It's just one huge spring (I can't believe vacuum or boost could even affect that sucker) and a couple other parts. Pretty simple. I kind of wonder why these things are so expensive?

The only scenario I can come up with as to why vacuum would increase the fuel pressure is if the ball covering the hole was misaligned and vacuum was causing it to cover the hole more instead of opening the hole more. Although the probability of that is very small. I'll post pics to show peoole what I mean.

I'm not sure where to go from here. I'd ask SX but the FPR was modified by Buschur and I'd ask him but I bought the thing used. I'll probably try reasemble it and give it one more try, before I swap in a stock one. If the stock one checks out, then maybe I'll order a FPR rebuild kit from SX.
