First, why do you want a 2g engine swap in your 1g? Just because it's a newer engine doesn't make it better.
The 2g engine is what's called a 7-bolt, which means there are 7 bolts holding the flywheel to the crankshaft. The 7-bolt was introduced in late 1992. Every turbo 2.0 engine before that was a 6-bolt. The 6-bolt engines are better as they are not as prone to crankwalking, which is why the 7-bolt engines are always swapped out for the 6-bolt variety. Head to
