As a democrat I have to say that we should indeed stop fighting the issue of gun control. It is impossible to win and I know that. Also I think it hurts our chances in elections because there are a lot of people that vote only on one issue, which in many cases in a candidates stance on gun control. Yes you are free to have guns and just ike you said I am free to protest the issue.
