i was just out driving my car. its a 96 tsi awd. it started to hesitate and sputter. it was like what happens on a 1g when it has huge false knock. the timing gets pulled like crazy and the car has almost no power. i would get on the gas and even though the car was at like 4k rpm and full boost it was hardly pulling at all. it would kind of surge a little. i dont have a logger or anything so i cant check to see whats going on. it stopped after the car warmed up. my guess is a boost leak or the timing is getting pulled a lot for some reason. ill get out the old boost leak checker sometime today and see if thats the problem. has anyone had this happen before?
