okay, I checked out my pedal, it looks fine. The threaded rod that extends into the rubber dealie is as far out as it can go on the pedal assm. I was messing around again w/the shifter cables and realized that you want the shifter to be straight up :uh: , not tight as it can get to remove any slack. The grind went away so no more slowly shifting at really low prms into 2nd.
