My hayes manual is of no help regarding the Installation of exhaust manifold studs. I'm wondering how far your supposed to put the studs in and is is possible to use to much RTV on the middle stud? would anti-seez be a good idea on the studs? I plan on applying it to the ends that the nuts go on. Comments/tips would be helpful, I'm starting tomorrow afternoon. Thanks guys.
"the center bottom stud goes into an oil return passage in the head, make sure to use RTV on the threads of the stud when installing it to eliminate oil seepage. "
