Re: The DSM/Evo Trailer Build...WTF
So regarding all the hail damage the trailer received in early August. I received some good news today from my insurance company.
The short story:
They are now fully covering the damage!!!!!!!!!
The long story:
Originally my auto insurance company was denying any support in the claim of the trailer. So I contacted my home owners insurance and they were willing to cover a minimal amount of the trailer damage, $1K. However, I needed a letter of denial from my auto insurance to receive incidental coverage from my home owners policy. To receive a letter from my auto insurance I needed to file a claim, in the mean time I insured the trailer for comp and collision(super cheap too!), once I learned that it was only covered under liability of the towing vehicle. My insurance company contacted me 2 weeks ago for a taped conversation about what I was trying to do, get a letter of denial so I started a claim knowing that I insured the trailer after the incident so it would be covered under my home owners. I called today to ping them on where my letter of denial was, the agent said there was a change in plans.
I got the electrical all wrapped up too: lights, outlets and bulkhead connector. I also finished the cabinet too. I'll take a couple of snap shots soon. Trailer FTW!
