So, after the cruise and my trip to TX I'll be in the market for some 2g pistons on 1g rods. Amazingly enough, the cylinder walls looked damn good. No cross hatching obviously as I'm sure this motor has a million miles on it, it's glazed pretty good. But no major scratches! Nothing I could feel with my fingernails anyways.

I'm sure I'll be able to check it out better once I get it further apart.
Next time I get up there to work on it I plan on flipping the engine and pulling the oil pan to see how beat up the bearings are. I'm not expecting much, hopefully at least the crank and block are usable though, otherwise it might get expensive quick.
