They could have way more power but you have to remember that they are a 4 stroke and are built for torque not all out speed. They call that thing a utility ATV, I use that term lightly. The 1000cc Renegade makes 82 hp conservatively, with some tuning they can get close too 100hp. The 4 stroke 1200 Ski Doo snowmobile makes 130hp and is pretty agressively tuned from the factory.
I would have to guess they de-tune them from the factory, I mean seriously how could you even drive a 130hp ATV with that short of a wheel base? It would be crazy.
Yeah I went with an ATV because we don't get enough consistent snow to justify a sled. I can ride this thing down here all year around (including winter). A buddy of mine even has a few sets of tracks for his Outlander, so if they going gets tough I'll just throw on the tracks and go anywhere a sled will go.
