Sounds like they are perfectly fine with going out and risking their lives (and the lives of others) on the highways and streets, but won't do it in a controlled environment with trained medical staff. Just don't make sense to me. Maybe they are afraid they will embarass themselves.
That is not to say I haven't street raced in my time. I have learned my lesson and now take my frustrations out at the track. Speaking of track racing, I gotta go clean out the car so I can drive to Corcoran Lions park and race a rallycross this afternoon.
