You'll definitely need a PC. I had full exhaust on my CBR and it ran UBER lean until I threw one on there. Afterwards I could physically feel the difference. It no longer struggled above 10k and got rid of all the backfiring. For the $300 get the PC. They have tons of preloaded maps included in the software you get and they're pretty good tunes. But nothing beats a dyno tune though.
