Hi Tom--

I just wanted to say I think your petition regarding the eradication of the MN requirement of a front license plate is great. I found the petition link posted on the forums at northstarbmw.org, where I'm a member. I've passed the link around to many of my contacts and they have passed it along also. Looks like the petition is growing steady.

Thanks for iniating this call to action. I also wanted to make sure/ask that you send this to our state legislators. Do you have a plan regarding this (when to submit, to whom, goal number of signatures before you submit, etc.)? I don't think this will happen to you, but I know a lot of petitions are forgotten and no action is taken. That would be shame in this case.

Take care and happy motoring,

Proud owner of a 2001 BMW 330xi with no front plate

Dear Tom,

Thank you for creating this petition.
I was #194 to sign and its near 800 signatures on here.
How many do we need to make a difference and what congressman or senator or whatever would i talk to regarding
"car stereotyping". I have been pulled over and ticketed and warned many times for front plate and other equipment violations that I feel are harassments for having a "cool car", while corvettes and mercedes and "older" people are getting away with breaking the same laws and im being punished cause im younger with a "sport compact car".

Which person is this petition going to and what is the minimum number of people we need to be heard?

I am all for getting rid of this law and i want to help out and spread the word for others to sign.

Jeff

Well to spread the news, im going to wait until AT THE VERY LEAST 2000 signitures, and yes i plan to send this to as many congressmen and women and people of legislation.
Tom
