I got pulled over a couple of weeks ago in Newport because I didn't signal a turn. I was leaving NAPA and going tohe back way to get to the lights on 61 when i forgot to signal my turn. The officer pulled me over and it turns out I left my license in my other pants pocket. I gave him my license number, name and address and he went back and ran it. He then asked me why I was leaving the Boyd Motel. I explained to him that I was just at NAPA and went that way so i could get back onto 61. I showed him my receipt from NAPA and he was cool about the whole thing. He didn't even ticket me for not having my license on me.
He then explained to me that even if I would've used my turn signal he would've found something to pull me over for. They were trying to crack down on the drugs and stuff that have been going thru the motel. He thought i had come out of the motel.
So basically what I am saying is that sometimes it's not even because of the car you drive. Sometimes it's the way you drive or where you are at a specific time. Just remember, they are only doing their job. Obviously if you are getting pulled over more than a couple of times a year, you're doing something to get yourself noticed. And more than just the car you're driving.
