MitsuStyle - View Single Post - DSM rear end work, combining a 3 bolt and 4 bolt

Is there information on this, I can't remember exactly but I believe it is good to use the internals from a 3 bolt in a 4 bolt.

I ask this because I have a 3 bolt rear end currently in my car and a 4 bolt waiting to go in, so this would be the perfect time to do something like this.
