Well the FID manifold should be at MAP Friday, finally haha.
It is getting nice out slowly but surely and I am getting ancy so I keep bugging Chris...can't help it still haven't drove the evo much at all in the past year.
The plan is an all day extravaganza on Monday with at least 4 manifolds being tested...possibly 5. we expect the testing to run into Tuesday so I will be missing some work...dang
I just dropped off some new oil (high zinc yumminess) and filter, oh and Scheides' old mani.
Last night I swung by Scheides house to grab the mani and setup Evoscan and stand alone data logging on my Tactrix cable. BIG THANKS TO SCHEIDES !! (I owe you yet again) It would've taken a lot of reading to figure out most that stuff, much easier to learn hands on. So now I am set to log and someday make minor minor changes...probably mainly fuel stuff at first..I'll leave timing and mivec etc to Shane.
MAP is gonna swap out the oil quick this week and recoat Scheides mani too as it had a few scratches in it...wouldn't hurt right
So it looks like the plan is Monday strap the car down right away at 9ish and do baselines on the DD tune which is around 30-32psi..so should easily shows gains from parts swapping at those levels.
Order:
1)ported stocker from MAP that is coated.
2) MAP's short runner
3) FID Mani
4) Map long runner (scheides)
5) Possible revised MAP mani if necessary.
It sounds like MAP might try to make another mani this week that we may test. There is no reason to redo their design though as the current one works great but if they need to they will attempt to improve upon it.
So let the fun begin...stop by Monday if you wanna check it out.
