A good presentation in general. Towards the end it starts to speak about various dose levels. This presentation was given a few weeks ago to Minnesota representatives.

There's so much to say, but I'd rather not ramble. But look at some of those numbers in that presentation. A-Bomb survivors that received 10 Rem or less have shown no adverse affects. Plant workers are allowed 5 Rem / year limits by the NRC. The news reports are touting numbers like 150millirem detected just outside the plants building. Millirem, that's 1/1000 of a Rem... but 150 sure does sound like a lot to someone who doesn't have anythign to reference that against. And again as you'd see in this presentation, how big of an affect distance has. If they measure 150mrem just outside that plants building, how much that will have reduced just by being 50ft away.

It's too bad the media appears to be simply interested in getting peoples attention by invoking fear. And again while it is a serious issue, in my opinion it's not the armageddon they are making out to be.
