Hey meow, some of us have ventured well outside MN and seen more than that...
100mph typhoon (hurricane) winds on a tiny japanese island, wearing a trash bag rain suit and chem goggles is a memory of mine that comes to mind

We'd see something like 3 typhoons / year on that island. Thing is the cities are built for it, so damage was minimal.
