Wow, really? I'm normally the anti-traffic enforcement staple here, but that just takes the cake.
Realistically (and I do realize that the officer has a job to do, and that he did what he was supposed to) a traffic stop is not worth one's life. The officer's voice betrayed his fear for his life long before any shots were fired, and I know that if it were me I'd have been in the cruiser with my head down going as fast as I could in reverse when he pulled that rifle.
