I think its about a 5-minute job to yank out that solenoid, 1 10mm bolt. At least on the X it is, I don't recall on the IX....now that I think about it, I'm wrong...one solenoid is burried under the IM and behind the power steering pump, you'd have to remove one or both to get to it.

Bwahahaha I was trying to find a pic of it and look what I found:
