I'm sorry but this is one of the dumbest things I have heard for a while. yes experience makes a big difference and I may not be the most experienced rider but to say a skilled rider wouldn't have went down in the same situation is rediculous.

my dad had been riding for almost 20 years when he went down when it was wet out. my moms friend who has been riding for over 20 years went down in the rain on his way to sturgis. were these 2 newbs at riding? did they not know how to ride according to the conditions?? I think not. just saying no matter how skilled you are while your out on the road shit can happen.

I've ridden in the rain a bunch of times just not on this particular bike. but either way I was doing what I could to be safe. I tried to get a ride so I didn't have to ride it home in the rain but couldn't find one. I stayed off of the freeways and was going slow and taking it easy. the fact that I walked away with only a couple scrapes and a bruise on my left leg says a little about how I was riding
